Ive never really seen them for sale anywhere in Rockford. The ones that most people use for thier reefs anyway. Someone else might be able to give you some places to check at though.
You could try contacting some of the vendors on the club supporter list on the rockfordreefers.org website. Some of those guys might carry them and you could get the discounted rate for Rockford Reefers members. |

Im not going to recommend a specific brand becasue I dont know that much about if theres any ones to stay away from. Others probably could.
My opinion on most of them that I have seen is that they are all built similar and pretty much perform equally well. The parts that go into them are mass produced commodities that are readily available and a lot of people build them out of the same parts and just put their own name on them. You could look a place like www.airwaterice.com. One thing to note is they recommend you stay with a 50-75 GPD membrane becasue the 100 GPD membranes let more stuff pass through them and they are less effective at filtering and it makes your DI life shorter. I also have well water and run mine after the softener. Ive got a 4 stage RODI and been running fine for a number of years and works fine. Make sure you get a TDS meter with it. |

I guess the message board didnt like my link. But if you go to our club web site and look at the sponsors on the frag fest page theres some links to a couple of vendors that sell RODI stuff. You'll probably be able to figure out which ones they are by the name of the vendors.

Rod always has RO systems on hand and he can answer any questions you might have he is in Dekalb. He's about the closest thing to a LFS we have in Rockford. Here's a link to his website: http://www.rods-reef.com/dryGoods.php
If you decide to go just be sure to call first. He may be out of the store and running errands.

If Rod has them, then that's the place to go. If you haven't made the trip it's a MUST. Unbelievably helpful and just a great guy. I bought mine (before I found Rods) on line from "thefilterguys.biz". Give them a call, they too are very helpful.
