On the other hand, I never spot feed my bubble and it has about doubled in size over the 3 years or so I have had it.

WELL....I just got this one and am looking for all the advice that I can get. I thank both of you for your input. Does this one look healthy? I think it does.

Yep! Looks nice and healthy to me.
Did you pick it up locally or was it shipped?

Nah... $50 is a good price for a nice looking bubble.
I've seen some smaller ones in a lot worse shape around here for $75 or more.

the bubble looks very healthy. 50 for that piece is a bit too high these days tho. i got a bigger one for 35.
you can feed him but be careful other fish will steal the food, and stress him, esp. tangs. they say bubbles are good beginner coral. they are hardy, can live with or with out direct feed. but feeding is fun ![]() |

got this one a while back for 25 bucks at reef collection. I feed 1/2 a raw shrimp every three days or so:

Nice...I thought that it was over priced but my wife has been wanting a bubble coral. Unfortunately this was the healthiest looking one around my area so I figured spend the extra. I have not yet seen the sweeper tents like in the picture above yet.

They're fairly low-light, like the shade to keep that color, eat anything floating in the water. I had a toothed bubble that had 6" sweepers and doubled its size in 3 months.
