Maximum daily amount of limewater

Hi Randy. Is there a percentage of tank water that's considered a maximum safe amount for replacing daily evaporation with limewater? In other words, if a 50 gallon tank, let's say, lost a gallon daily, then replacement with limewater would amount to 2 percent. If the same tank were to lose 3 gallons daily, then you'd be adding back 6 percent limewater. Is there a threshhold where it might be considered dangerous or ill-advised to replace only with kalk? Thanks. --Greg

Provided your pH stays under about 8.5 max it's as much as possible unless your ca and alk levels are rising too high.
