I have used both the Mag and the Quite One. The Mag seems a bit more powerful, but the Quiet One is a lost quieter. The Mags I have owned have been pretty loud. HTH

Oh yeah, I now prefer the Quiet One to the Mag.

If it ain't broke etc. etc. etc.
I believe the quiet one may have restarting problems if you turn your pump off while feeding?

I've never minded the noise from a Mag, it just never seemed too loud and definitely worth the difference in power compared to similar sized Quiet One pumps.

I have a quiet one 3000. I like it. Doesn't seem as powerful as a Mag 7 , but I have had limited experiance with the Mag 7s.

I can say that the 3000 I have is pumping 6' and I have noticed a delay in restarting and I can see overtime a possibility of there being a restarting issue.

There is alot of backpressure on mine. With the height and a 1" return. With the power off, water flows back into the sump pretty hard and fast.

Other than that I do like the pumps. I have the same pump powering my closed loop with no troubles.. and the price is good on these pumps.
