175W XM 10K (without actinics) color

Without actinics, just 175W Single Ended XM 10k on your tank, what color it puts out?

You can go to Sanjay's web site and see what color it is by the ccrt. With an aro ballast it was over 10,000K so very white. If you want a slight touch of blue go with the Iwasaki's. about another 20-30% more par too.

I have
without actinics a 175 xm 10k is a little yellowy/green like a ushio looks great with actinics, the 250 looks really good (more white)and the 400 looks fantastic being really white but all look good with actinics personally I think that the 460nm actinics really blend well with all.

10K with actinics

I am rather partial to the 10K with the actinics as well. To simulate daylight cycle, I run only the actinics early in the am and late in the evening, and only three low watt lunars at night. 10Ks plus actinics most of the day. Seems to work out fairly well. It gives the reef a simulated sunrise, mid day, sunset, and lunar light. My tank is mostly South Pacific, so I time it to simulate S. pacific light cycle, and alter it through the year. OK, so I am a little compulsive, but I am into circadian rhythms.
