My two favorite local lfs guys teaming up....very cool.

This is great news for those of us who live more than a little far from Rod.

I'd love to see both guys do real well as they have the right attitude and business sense.

Coral Paradise is on Northwest Highway in downtown Arlington Heights

Yea I go see Jim from time to time at Corals Paradise. It's right across the street from the Railroad station. His corals and fishes are decent prices and it varies. He's a nice guy though. If you have freshwater stuff.....he carries freshwater fishes all sorts but the best place for freshwater is Scott's Pet Shop in Westchester.

Another +1 on Jim.

The guy that maintains my office tank (Chris Beal) helped set him up and works there. They have a nice selection of healthy fish and corals too. Jim is another hobbyist turned businessman.

Maybe Jim could get some of those onyx clowns for those of us that can't get away to drive to Dekalb!

No way!

If I want more Onyx Clowns, I would want to hand-pick them from Rod's day-care center!

So far, all eight of mine were personally chosen. Two pairs and four mis-bars!

So how would this differ from hand-picking from a tank full at Jim's store?

Selection would be smaller....
It's hard to say how feasible this would be, probably a good idea. I wonder if rod would lose some in the transportation process though.

If you know Rod, can you see him releasing a tankful of his babies to another LFS??

I have it on good authority that he sleeps by the spawning tanks when new babies are about to hatch!!!
