Sorry to hear about your lost Hugo.Knowing you will come back stronger than before. But I see I lot of folks here mentioned generators,(gas) types.I live here in Florida, and have 2 Gen and another back up.A lot of folks aren't aware of this. But you can convert your gas power Gen to Propane.I will give the web site below for all that might have a interest. They have a do it yourself,or can send the carb to them. And they can modified the hook up.They also have a carb, that can run gas/or propane. No gumming of carb, cleaner, safer to use,and can store propane for a long time. Also Lowes sells the large cylinders for fill up.

Well Hugo, the good thing of this hobby is that you can always start it over again.
Good luck.

I will use my generator to run the tanks, and my fridge so I can freeze 2 liter bottles of water to let sit in my sump for heat control....and swap them out as they melt....

my generator is run on propane, with a big tank you can run for days without having to mess with gasoline.

IMO, since you own a fish/coral store, RC might not choose/allow you to be tank of the month even your tank comes back nicer. It considers a bussines purpose not a hobby any more. Please correct if i'm wrong.

It will easily take a few years to get it to what he had before. I have actually seen it in person. Amazing... I can only hope to get mine to that level...

Hey BlueSPS why dont you mind your own buisness it seem you know alot about Hugo. Why hide who your realy are. Your just a joke give it a rest. It seem that your are just jeolus of Hugos success and that fact that you arent even close to his level. Oh and dont worry I know who you are already. Funny how you will not say that to his face.

I don't know whats going on with you CA guy's but it's obvious that BlueSPS got on here for only one reason, 3 posts. Mods might want to look into this.

Either way, I feel for you snipersps, my tank crashed in Jan. b/c of the same reasons and I know the feeling. Big tank or small, if you put the time in it hurts. Good luck getting it back to what it was, your tank was def. one of my favorite TOTM.

Oouch.... I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. TOTM or not, losing your corals just hurts you very deep. I wish you an easier recovery Hugo.

So sorry for your loss Hugo. I know it is a very painful thing to experience even the smallest of losses but can't imagine one of that scale...

I woke up to this one morning last fall. Only had LPS, zoas and shrooms at the time.

I remember sitting there crying in front of the tank wanting to throw everything out. Then the stubborn family genes kicked in and I realized how much $ I'd put into the tank, rock, etc and ended up going after a larger challenge. I now have lots of SPS and am upgrading to a bigger tank.

We know you have a deep love for this hobby so I am positive you can dig deep and find the determination to come back better than ever. How about a basement shark tank? j/k

If you can grow a tank like you had before this tragedy, I have no doubt that you will bounce back like a super ball.
