new lights, what next?

I have recently ordered a pair of reef star pendants, 250w each, which would be 500w for my whole tank, compared to the 260w i have right now.

I am interested in getting some new things for my tank now that i will have my new lights. I want to get either a clam, more lps, or a few sps.

What are the basic requirements for clams? Do they have any special needs that i should know about? What kind of clam should i get? I would like to get one that is colorful, but relitavely easy to care for.

With the corals that i have in my tank now(Mostly softies, zoos, shrooms, and 1 or 2 lps), how much will they benefit with the lights? How long would it take them to spread more?

Any replies are appreciated.

for clams and sps calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity are a big issue. most clams are relatively easy to care for if you have propoer lighting. as long as they are over 3"-4" you wont have to do much more than place in and appropriate area and enjoy. check out the clams forum for a ton of good info.
