Kenny,
I think the curse was lifted, stuff started to come back from the dead (white) a few months ago. I added about 5 frags from coral market and 11 the next day from Tony (badbones) They all have better then average polyp extension and the color is good.

Raising the ORP from 160 to 400 helped out the most I think. I also got rid of the red bugs and AEFW( I don't see any signs) and keeping the PO4's down.

Mark,

I am glad to hear things are looking up for you. My tank is finally fully recovered from the crash and are now getting good growth and colors once again. Hopefully some of the browned out pieces will come back.

BTW, anything new on the CaOH thing? I'm gonna need some soon. Thanks.

Hmmm......hard to tell from that pic and angle. Like Steve said, a clearer and closer pic would definitely help. I had a piece before and I have seen the one in Eric's tank too many times. But it sure does look nice, whatever it is.

pookstreet , drake66, sps addict it was just the timing. I picked up 3 that day all can be found under "wysiwyg" the one for sure is a A.Suharsoni the second looks like a C#7 Acropora sp med brown w/ green corlites (sp). Those were for 25, the last one was around 80 I think it is a bottle brush w/lite blue tips simi greenish body. Eirc felt the #7 had potential in coloring up so based off that I took it.
Now the 20,000 Lokanii I have that on book mark and check it several times a day. Eirc would not sell that to me that day he is waiting for it to color up a bit more.
I have to drive around 4 hours to get there I live north of Santa Barbara. My GF takes an online classs at CSUSB and had to turn in her final paper that day. I also went to GCarrol home and bought a few frags from him that day the UBS a blut tort and a caroliana. All n all a good day for me and my GF. I picked up 3 great frags 3 wysiwyg at frag farmer at an awesome price and my GF was driven the hole way also slept. She just sighed up for 3 more online classes so I will be returning again soon, in hopes to score the 20,000 Lokanii
I hope some day our paths will cross and I can see your tanks, Best of luck Brewen

Eric,

That looks almost identical. Nice!!! How long have you had it and where do you have it in your tank? I want to hear as much as possible from others with the same coral to find out how best to keep it in tiptop shape.

I just got it a week ago, and i have it mid tank under 20k's.... mid flow. I will have to check at night though to make sure it is getting good PE at night, because as you know the PE is almost non-existant during the day.

So, i am in the same boat as you... trying to figure it out.... It seems to be happy at the one week mark. Even though it did come from a system under 1000watters. With that in mind I think it'll be just fine.... (fingers crossed)

Mark... I pretty much think the water at my shop sucks big time compared to the city water at home. I'm not getting much production from a $25 DI cartridge maybe about 100g before it's spent. I ordered 50# of bulk resin yesterday so I can swap out the DI more often. Water changes have just made things worse most times.

Steve,
You know what you have to do, Tell your wife your bringing the tank home and that's it I guess you need something to transport water from home. I bet a couple 30 gal drums would work

Yeah, I agree on the PE during daytime. I did check last night and this morning. Got good PE so far. Using the flashlight, the body of the coral actually looks purple
