The only fun auto race that I have been to was the Rolex24 at Daytona. With pit passes it made for a killer day.

For me it's all about the cars, and the Rolex provides a whole bunch of different things to look at. Strolling around the pits while teams are working on their cars was really cool.

Glowing brakes and flames out of the exhaust at night also add to the fun factor.

Maybe if I move back to Florida

It was also really cheap. I think it was less than $75, which included the pit passes, and it was good for qualify times as well.

Stereotypical. They actually had NFL players driving cars around a 1 1/2 mile tri-oval and they were saying how much harder it was than they thought.

I'd be willing to bet beerguy wouldn't make it one lap around Daytona without blowing chunks.

I did the "Be Petty" ride around couple yrs ago at Daytona and it does put some stress on the ole' body in the turns for sure, doing it for several hrs would definately be tough on the mind and body. .. but it was fun .... course I had more fun when I had my NHRA Super Gas car ..........sadly I sold it
