Cryptocentrus Leptocephalus (Pinkspotted Shrimp Goby) my LFS called it a spotted watchman, but its not. has the coolest personalities of any fish in the tank. most the time he just sits on a rock in front of his cave, and looks at you like whats up, you think you could feed me today . i got him when he was about 3-4" now hes about 4-5". hes kinda camara shy too LOL

He's not much of a sand shifter as some others but they're really cool to watch. Love it when they just sit around and stares at you.

Look he's looking at you now!!!

a lazy one but yes LOL when he gets in the mood "hungy" he leaves little sand plies everywhere. he also decorates his cave with empty shells(sometimes not empty), peices of LR. he has dug a tunnel under the large part of LR that his cave is in. now he has a secret escape route if needed.

I had the same kind. Here's what happens when you don't feed them enough. I think this was the third crab he got.

zoas, i doubt. but i would say possible. mine will perch on them thats it. and by microstars you mean Astrias then i would probablly say possible. i havent seen mine eat anything i didnt feed him except a hermit crab that was either dead or just molted as it was out of its shell.

the pics dont do the colors justice! all the pinks have a bright blue ring around them. they seem to glow when hes out in the light. i have even seen him darken up when hes on the rocks. his dark strips along the top side will darken like hes trying to blend in better. and it works. if you look down on him when the water is clam you can barely see him on the LR. awesome fish!!

Make sure you don't get a bullseye pistol shrimp. My LFS told me they would probably pair up, but after buying it and reading more I find out that the bullseye rarely hooks up with gobies. If you put a jawfish in there with it they may fight over the jawfish's hole. I had a pic of the goby and jawfish sharing a hole, but I can't locate it to post it. Just imagine 2 heads sticking out of a hole. Kinda cute....
