Cool FYI-- Sale @ Strictly Fish

The sale at Strictly Fish has begun...
livestock is 33% off while dry goods are 20%.

My husband was there today and said that they've got a lot of stuff... and are to be getting new shipments in everyday of fish.

The sale ends Sunday.

I just came back and was disappointed with their livestock. Most of their fish are breathing heavily, I don't think they acclimate their fish during sales, I always only see temperature acclimating, but nothing else. Some fish are injured or have ich. Check out the pink skunk clownfish most of them have it. Only three of their fish stood out 2 sunburst anthias for $55 and a chevron for $109. I always stock up on the dry goods though. Somethings are overpriced like their JBJ hydrometer for $174 and their Coralife Super Skimmer for close to $300. If anyone is looking for nanocubes they have all of them in stock, you can't beat those prices anywhere with the discount. They're even selling JBJ's surface skimmer for $5.50. The best thing about the sale is they are giving away free t-shirts. You get one if you have a flyer or depending who's accepting the flyer they'll give you one if you sign up on their mailing list.

Gabriel, not that I know of.
I live right down the street from them. I picked up my free t-shirt and some salt after work today.

It's just a LFS, and most of the time a so/so LFS at that. If you get there within a few hours of them unpacking stuff, it's nice during sales.

not worth the drive from downtown imo. The shirt is very cool though. I got a 4-line there today and it was pretty healthy.

I wouldn't recommend them for livestock, but during their sales everything but their skimmers and lighting are priced pretty good. I have given in to buy a couple of fish during their sales and they end up dying on me in QT. I used to shop there all the time, but the owners are rude, only cool guy there is the Asian guy, I think he's name is Pat. I only go there during their sales. During the sales I check out the live stock and come back the following wednesday after the sale, they have 25% off of livestock.

Oh my gosh!! That guy Pat is the nicest guy... not so much on the owners. I mean they're not that mean or anything but I always feel dumb when I go in there!!!

At their last sale I bought a 12gallon dx nancube, took it home and there was a lot of stress marks on the curves of the glass. Took it back to have it replaced because didn't want to have it crack on me, the shortest of the owners looked like he wanted to kick my butt and he didn't even help me out, he had one of his workers exchange it.

Yeah theres one or two guys that are pretty rude, i think they're brothers, but everyone else is cool. One guy w/ long braided hair was very helpful.
