Nano cube light problem

Can anyone help me out. When I flick the light switch on the nano cube it does not come on immediately. You have to switch it on and off for few minutes and finally it will come on. I have dismantled the hood and all the contacts are in place and tight. Maybe a new switch? I don't want to buy another switch and still have the same problem. Has this happened to anyone else? Oh, this is the 10G nano cube.

Sounds like a ballast problem.

Wait whick nano-cube do you have? I'm not sure if the 6 gallons have external ballasts. Is it new? If so contact jbj.

I had a problem with one of my lights not coming on until I 'whacked it ' a few times. Replaced the bulb and all's well. If the hood was banged or dropped, the lights me need replacing. SH

I had to remove the bulb on my 6, they had slightly bent one of the contacts when they originally put the bulb in, I just bent it back to where it should be and put the bulb back in and haven't had any problems since. Good luck, Skip
