2 Part solution - What are they?
I remmember reading that the 2 part additive consists of Ca in the what would normally be called solution "A" and buffer component in solution "B". But I don't remember what they actually are?
I also remembered reading somewhere that Ca component is acidic, and that is the reason for the use of solution B. Is this correct? |

The 2nd part is designed to keep your alkalinity stable. Having a high calicium w/o a high alk. does nothing good for tank. So it must work together. Adding turbo calcium will raise your calc level but will plumbet your alkalinity levels. Good luck Rob

ESV's B-Ionic
Bottle 1 adds carbonate (alkalinity). Bottle 2 adds calcium ion. TurboCalcium shouldn't do a thing to alk levels. Alk drops every single day (as does calcium) because corals use calcium and carbonate to make calcium carbonate. If you add just turbocalcium, it just appears that alk drops.
