New CoralVue Skimmer!!!

Just found a picture of CoralVue's new skimmer. What do you all think? I think it looks like it going to be a real good product, and knowing CoralVue the price should be some what reasonable. And the quality should be good. Anyone else heard anything?

Looks like ER is in trouble! The OR pumps IMO are actually superior to the sedra pumps that the ER use. They perform just as well, if not better than the older sedra pumps at a lower wattage.

Peace,
John H.

So I e-mailed dave over at coralvue, and this is the info I got back so far. The name is the Shredder Skimmer, it should be out in a month or so, it should retail $at around $200.00 it is rated for up to a 250 gallon tank and yes the pumps used are the same as Aqua Medic Ocean Runners. I will try to find out more if I can.

Looks like they are not recirculating skimmers though. Just old school veturi style with needlewheel pumps.

I got another update on CV skimmer, they will have more than one model, all the skimmers are made of cell cast acrylic. They will have unions on all connections, and the airline is ozone safe. Looks like someome is going to give Euroreef and ASM a run for the market, with a quality skimmer, better pump and a better $price$. Thats what Im talking about!!!

Looks like it is a little over rated at 250g tank size....
