I agree, I have a tank full of softs and I still like to see TOTM. I think the systems featured and the articals that followed helped me out a lot and I will miss the stunning displays, setups and articals. I think if it was cancelled because of one joker that it is pretty weak and if not...either wat I think we should get more of an explination that what was posted.

Please give a better explination as to why it is gone.

Wow, it's a dictatorship in here. I thought that someone had made a horrible comment about tank of the month rather than just give a suggestion. I hope it's an April Fool's joke, nothing else really makes sense.

Why? I Mean....

Ok first off alittle back ground, i am 18 years old and have been reefing for about 3 years. I started out with a 70 gallon mixed reef and now have my second tank a 180 SPS tank. This hobby takes the stress away, i play baseball also. But its the hobby that takes the stress off my back.

Now alitte side note before I begin, i am just expressing my opipion, so please take it witha grain of salt.

The first of every month is my favorite time in the reefing comunnity. I log on to RC and click on the current issue of reefkeeping magazine. It's my favorite thing to read and then read the thread here on RC. It gives people something to strive for, something to learn from, someone to look up to for help. People get great ideas from the TOTM. There has been some mixed tanks that are stunning (DNA's) and then the Zoo tank of Mucho.

Personally i dont see the justice in the editors taking this TOTM away becasue one person complained. I mean its like the saying if one person jumps off the bridge are you going to follow? I mean does the reefing community really want the TOTM gone? I dont thinkg so!

Why does such a great thing have to go away becasue one person gets upset? There have been many great TOTM's that are not SPS!

I guess i dont see the reasoning behind this? I for one strive to be a TOTM someday as many other do. But now no such thing. Kind of dissapointing.

Please reefers post how you feel, maybe we can pursaude the eiditors to re-instate the TOTM!

i just dont see the justice behind it.

thanks for listening.

Nick

*Please do not take offense to this Skipper and the other editors, I am just expressing my feelings.

I am new to all of this reef keeping. I would like to see it come back. It is very helpful to a newbie,(like me), to see what other are doing and how the do it. The info in the TOTM is just as informative as all of the froms! I someone doesn't like the SPS form are you going to drop that to? As I stated I am new I need this info, if I can help with the work I will learn it and do it.

Thumbs down

I agree,
I don't post much/at all, but I read reef central forums like crazy for different ideas and information.
I also look forward to the beginning of each month knowing there will be a new TOTM. I have even gone through all of the archived issues of the magazine to look at the past TOTM's.
I really enjoy the TOTM and I will miss it.
