Possible Carribean rose

A friend of mine got this coral of a guy who had it for about 7 years and then my friend had it for about 3. I'm not sure how long they have been illegal to import but i think it might be a carribean rose coral, similar to an open brain coral. anyone have an evidence otherwise? I've never seen a brain coral this color.

I have a tooth coral that looks very much the same as that but with a green center. I will see if I can get a pic this evening.

did some research and found out tooth coral is just another name for galaxia coral, and this is definately not one of those.Even with one eye, I'd have kick you in the shin and take it back

i can see a lot of resemblance between the two, however the bumbs on the edge seem different. your coral has larger, star like bumps, were mine has more of points that look like teeth sticking out

I have a lot of experience with manicina and their extended polyps are highly ribbed, unlike your piece. Your coral looks like a very sweet lobo nonetheless. +
