Question What Skimmer To Use

HELLO, I HAVE BEEN READING FOR A COUPLE DAYS ON DIFFERENT TYPES OF SKIMMERS. I HAVE A 55GAL. ALL GLASS. NO OVERFLOW HOLES IN MY TANK.
I HAVE READ ABOUT SKILTER FILTERS, I HAVE FOUND MIXED REVIEWS ON THESE FILTERS. I HAVE ALSO READ ABOUT HOB PROTEIN SKIMMERS, ALSO WITH MIXED REVIEWS. THE BIGGEST CONCERN I HAVE WITH THE HOB PROTEIN SKIMMER IS THE FLOODING.
IT SOUNDS AS THE SKILTER IS A "SAFER" ALTERNATIVE. HOWEVER IT SEEMS AS IF IT IS NOT A QUALITY SKIMMER.

IF THERE IS ANYBODY WHO COULD MAYBE SUM THE 2 UP FOR ME I WOULD APPRECIATED IT.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME.
FUZZ

Skilter = waste of time

HOB = much better.

Never had any floding issues. Get a remora at a minimum. If you do a search for remora you'll get all the info you need

For a "reasonably" priced HOB that performs, the AquaC Remora. There is another unit called the excalibur or something like that that is good for the price point. If you got a fat wallet, look into the deltec HOB.

THANKS FOR ALL HELPFUL INFO YOU GUYS HAVE GIVEN ME.
I HAVE SINCE DONE MY OWN RESEARCH AND PURCHASED THE AQUA C REMORA WITH THE MAXI JET1200 AND THE OVERFLOW BOX.
FOR THE MONEY AND THE COMPACT SIZE AND IT'S ABILITY I COULDN'T ASK FOR MUCH MORE.

AS FOR MY CAPS BEING ON, I HAVE ALWAYS TYPED WITH MY CAPS AND WILL PROBABLY KEEP ON. IT IS NOT AN INDICATION OF YELLING OR ANYTHING ELSE.

There is a compan working on a HOB needle-wheel skimmer, should be wuite the kick butt skimmer. I thin the name is JDM Inc. the member here being the catalyst is JDM130 - give him a PM, wave of the future I'm telling you - besides - too many micrto-bubbles with the Remora. Go in-suimp if AT ALL possible, and if also possible give a p, to JDM130
