Do you mean just the surface of it? If so I would think of getting a Fighting Conch or two depending on the tank size. A little more info will be helpfull, such as tank size/current inhabitants/etc...

Sounds like you need a way bigger cleaning crew

What im saying is that my cleaning crew is making the mess by pooping everywhere. It's not the fishs that making the mess, its the hermit carb. I still dont understand. Can someone explain in a lil more detail please.

You could ditch the hermit crab. I've gotten rid of mine.

So if you have some live rock, you should have some bristleworms, etc, to do cleanup. Otherwise, you could look at the detritivore kit at InlandAquatics.com for some ideas. ipsf.com also sells some good animals, IMO.

How deep is your sand bed? Live sand? Reef? You can vacuum the low flow areas where detrius builds up. I would definitely get a clean-up crew happening though, some crabs, snails, stars etc. to help. If you do vacuum I guess when your doing your waterchanges would be a good time.
