Kayla

It kinda looks like my female that turned male. Dan will probably be happy to trade you. He offerd to trade mine out but I decided to keep my 1 female and 3 males.

By the way be prepared for babies. The male that my female bonded with is on his 3rd pregnacey since Dec. his first 2 broods were exactly 15 days apart, I think he should have the next in about a week.

Thanks for the pic, but I'm sticking to my guns and I'll say a young male.

Talk to Dan, he's a great guy and I'm sure he'll work with you on getting a female.

It's odd, but it seems most of the breeders are getting more males then girls. I wonder what determines gender.

Well then, looks like I need to talk to Dan! Thanks for helping me determine this. I wouldn't mind having more horses!

I cannot trade because I do not live near Dan, and shipping would not be worth it. I guess my best option is to just order another female when I'm ready.

Thanks for all of your help,
Kayla

If you are concerned about inbreeding I can refer you to the breeder of my horses. I believe she has a brood for sale. I think they are 6-8 months old and are yellow to orange. I'm not sure if any of these have green or red in their lines, but I'm sure you can ask. These horses are CB and have been captively bred for many generations. The original stock were from OR.

I think Dan's next brood will be ready in June or July. I'd like to get on that list for 2 females with cirri.

Very good point. I would love your breeder's contact info if at possible. An orange [or yellow] female would be nice!

Thanks again,
Kayla

PM sent.

By the way, ask her about a red seahorse. She breeds some of the most beautiful red/maroon seahorses I've ever seen! Also, she has seahorses that are green. Here's a shot of one of the greenish ones I have.
