How much do you top off a day?

How much water do you top off in your systems a day? How many watts are you running?

I only use 440w of VHO and it seems I'm doing a gallon every day or so.

The more fans you have running over the surface, does that effect the amount of evap in an noticable amount?

I'm guessing about 1 - 1 1/2 gallons a day in my 90. I am running 2 x 250 de mh's and 2 54 watt T5's. I have four fans total and a lot of surface agitation. I imagine that contributes to a lot of it.

Unfortunately I am not real sure exactly how much though, I just add water to my top off container every few days.

I top off about 4 gallons per day on my 120 display with 2-400w halides and 440w vho's. I have 2-175w halides on my frag tank. Total water volume for the system is about 300 gallons. I noticed a huge jump in evaporation when I added the dehumidifier. I also have a fan blowing over the frag tank.

About 2 a day. Depends upon humidity.........whish my top off auto adjusted to this!

130g total system, Total watts? Lights=1280 including ref.
Total watts is about at 400-500watts higher when adding in all pumps. Not including chiller watts.

You missed the 1 to 2 gallons a day, I'm in that range with (2) 175w MH, (1) T5, and (1) fan in the hood.

Well I top off about 1.5 gal per day but that has no much meaning unless we know how much is the total water in the system. For what is worth this is about half a percent per day.

Hehehee, it depends on the day.
Seriously, the ambient humidity seems to affect me more than anything. The bulk of my top off is handled by a dosing pump/Neilsen Kalkwasser reactor, so I don't _know_ the rate, but I have to refill the dosing pumps reservoir every few days, and that sucker's 30-gallons. On the days I've gone w/o my dosing pump (for a month recently, while my refuge was offline and I had to treat w/ interceptor), I went through about 3/4s of an old-style ReefCrystals bucket. I've heard those are 8 gallons? So about 6, depending on the day.
Lighting is 2x400 HQI and 2x250 MH's.
I have a pair of 4" fans running 24/7 over the tank.

I would say 7 gallon per day, I am running 3 - 400 watt MH and 4 - 5 foot VHO's. As I drip Kalk for my top off water 24/7 and don't use a calcium reactor I have a fan blowing directly on my sump to help me evaporate more water so that I can keep my alkalinity, pH and calcium levels up to where I need them in my SPS and clam 180 gallon tank. I also found that when I added that fan my temperture dropped 2 degrees which is fine because I don't use a chiller.
