Does/has anyone ever heard of an anemone with this name? It is from Australia. Any and all info would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks.

I bought one locally near the end of October(maybe a bad decision since at the time I knew nothing about this species other than it looked really cool, was dirt cheap, and anemones don't usually stay healthy too long at this particular store). I've got a nano-reef without a chiller and plenty of light that runs 78-80 degrees. After I'd put it in my tank, I found out they prefer colder water, but mine seems to be thriving. It eats well(1-2 small pieces of krill weekly plus whatever tidbits float into its tentacles), looks beautiful and full, and has even spawned off a couple little ones(though by night, something grabs them- haven't caught the culprit yet). Last night, I even caught my ocellaris sleeping in it for the first time. Admittedly, 2 months isn't long to be judging its long term survival, but it seems to be doing great and hasn't bothered any of my corals at all. Hopefully this info is helpful.

Those are not from Australia and certainly not Waratah Anemones. Unless you have a cold water tank, avoid those listed on the ebay link like the plague.
