Gee, I'm torn - a Braves fan who loved seeing both the Yankees and the Astros get it good, but a Sox fan who hoped Houston would meet their end in the WCS. This is gonna be a WCS we'll be talking about for years. Tons of drama and hopefully really great baseball, played from the heart not the contract! Congrats St. Louis!

GO BOSOX!!

lol I hope we see seven games and a Red Sox victory.

Is anyone old enough to remember 1967, the last time these teams met in the WS?

The Sox lost in seven games. Bob Gibson won all for games for the Cardinals. For Red Sox nation it was another painful ending to what was a great season to that point. Hopefully the Sox can get some payback. It's not enough that Boston has beat St Louis in hockey and football championships since then.

Sox in 6!

Cards have only second string pitching but strong bats.

It's cold and windy out there. It'll be hard to hit or catch that knuckle ball!

Go Sox!

Cardinals! Ha! My Uncle is smiling from heaven- he was an Illinois farmer who played catcher for one of the farm teams just after Branch Rickey left- then he left for WWII, came back and loyally followed them- I remember him trying to teach me how to crouch to play catcher out on the farm like it was yesterday. What's amazing is how emotional this has to be for both teams; I'm sure Boston fans have just as many connections over the generations...too bad they're going to lose, though- hahahaha
