Unhappy 6" Teardrop Maxima - Chicago - FOR SALE/GOOD HOME/NEED HELP

I need a good home for my brown 6" Teardrop. My problem is I found pyramid snails in my tank and i do NOT want the Maxima to die. I have a DSB and will never find all the snails so I need a good home for him.

If anyone has a good QT tank or a BB tank in Chicago, you can have him for $30 OBO - I paid $100 from Phishy Business for him in January.

I have had him since January and he has put in 1.5" in new growth and is growing like a weed.

I do not want the snails to kill him so I need a good home for him that is pyramid snail free - and someone that can watch him for a week or two to ensure there are no more snails on him.

I examined his byssal tonight and did not find any snails in him, just a bunch in my sand so I know it will be virtually impossible for me to get rid of the snails in my substrate. I have a mandarin so I cannot vacuum out the sand bed either. . .

He is under 10k XM 250w bulbs.

Thanks,

Jason

I second the six-line wrasse idea. Good luck with it whatever you decided to do!

he has a mandarin - the 6 line or coris are bad ideas. I commend you for chosing to give up your clam in hopes of finding it a better home!

I wish more people would take this route.

ALL -

I apologize, I have been out of town on business since Sunday night.

I had someone to take it, but he is gaping seriously now. I have not seen ANY snails on him so maybe there is another problem.

I will keep you all posted, but I cannot move him in this condition - I think he may be a goner. . .

Sorry all.

I was a little slow hoping I could get all the snails.

I learned a difficult lesson.
