I fragged My Monti Cap

Not intentionally, mind you, but now that its done- I realize I should have done it long ago.

The cap is tan with purple polyps. It is currently under VHO (haven't built my new canopy yet for my MH), where it was raised- so I'm guessing it will probably turn a lot more purple under MH.

I've got a couple of 1-2" frags that I'll sell for $15, and I'll make bigger frags for those who request and price them accordingly.

Here's a picture of the parent colony.

PM me if you are interested- I have some other frags if people are looking, check out my gallery or website.

Ari,

I am in. I really want a monti cap. When are you available? I'll buy that one and we can trade some other stuff.

Hey Drew-

I could do Wednesday or Thursday night... let me know what you prefer. How big of a frag do you want- do I need to clean the glass again?

Honestly, I'm thinking of taking the bottom shelf down to be more the size of the top... this thing is big, really big. It started as a 2" frag from Tropicorium in Michigan- one of my first SPS. Its now the size of a basketball. Its taking up an enormous amount of space.

Drew is a very nice guy, as a lot of folks in this forum are starting to find out. I've only met a few people here, but its impressive to me in such a big metro area how cool all the reefers are.

Ari

Well, I haven't actually taken it off... just chipped into it, really. It wasn't very hard to do... I just bumped it and all of a sudden, frags!

I've got several frags available- and can make more (and gladly will if people want). I've been aquascaping, and this thing is too big to work around.

Anyone interested? Liz?

I'll give you twenty bucks for the whole thing. I got a frag twice that size for 5 bucks the other day.

Just kidding, I have a frag of this and it is a pretty sweet coral. Well worth the price and a very fast grower too!

Two thumbs up for the monkey boy!!

Ha Ha, Phish- you bringing me a frag of that efflo or what?

To everyone who I've been PMing with, sorry for my lapse. I'm getting married next weekend, and I thought that I had more time to do this.

If everybody doesn't mind- I'm going to wait until after the wedding to sell frags. But, I promise to make the frags extra large for your patience.

Thanks-

Ari

Yup, I got a frag for you. You just have to come get it when you help me re-plumb!

Lord Mort- sure, I've got plenty to frag. I'd like to get it back down to a manageable size.

I won't be doing anything until after my wedding next weekend. I'll let you know when I am fragging.

BTW- I'm in Chicago on the NW side- Portage Park.

Thanks,

Ari
