Pics of new baby seahorses-born 9/12/03

I was able to take a few picutes of the new babies .. .my camera is just not good enough to do macros like this . .. but I will give it a try . . . There are about 12 babies that I was able to find/rescue and put into the breeder's net. They are safe for now and I think they are eating the cyclopeese, but I will transfer care to Greg as soon as possible. Aren't they beautiful? Now remember that this pic was taken through the glass and through the netting - look at those eyes . .

and another shot:

and a picture of the parents and my new sunbursts eating their dinner last night:

Just an update . . Greg came by and took the babies home with him . . .he has all the necessary tanks/food and experience to handle them. Even at that, the success rate is pretty low. But we'll try.

The female is already trying to transfer more eggs to him . .. their mating dance is awesome to watch.

Aint nature cool?

Yes Paula since you are the TOTM you should add in your little birth experiance...

Congratulations and I hope they make it, I'm sure Greg will do his best to see to it.
