Exclamation looking for pictures of volitans lionfish

based on the posts to the volitans lionfish lifespan poll thread, I've put together a web page on the volitans lionfish here:

FAQs of volitans lionfish

I'm looking for any pictures of volitans lionfish that I could put on this web page.

thanks!

What resolution are you looking for? I have a few of our fish--he's not an adult yet, but he poses nicely. Attaching them here would result in a lower quality image, or I could email them to you. I do ask that you give credit to me if you use the pics on your page.

for web use

to put on the web page, 480 x 640 is good enough, lower resolution would work too. I will certainly have a by line stating the name of the photographer, let me know if you want to use your screen name or real name.

a picture of a juvenile lionfish is fine. better yet, if you could send me a picture later when he is growing up, we could have both pictures to show the growth and maybe the difference in body shape and patterns.

thanks!

good point, I've made the change.

that's a really small volitans you've got there! it would be great if you could send me updated pictures from time to time, so people could follow the growth of the fish!

Yeah, the tank had a bit of cyano when I took the pic. It's cleared up now--we just boosted the calcium levels to about 480, and moved a few powerheads around. Not a problem anymore.

Here's my all time favorite lion photo, taken by my wife.
How she managed to catch all of them in this pose still mystifies me.

i will update his size with photos

sure thing i'll keep his size updated with photos at least 2x monthly. im sorry if i sounded gripy about that last deal with feeding. its just that when i got mine i figured im gonna try to go frozen first instead of the whole live thing. This was a suggestion from a friend that has peacock bass. I guess once they get on live they dont want anything to do with anything but that so. thats where im at now.

A yellow tang should be perfect with a lion, as good a tankmate as you can find.
Have a higher res photo, seafan....want me to e-mail it through the PM? (my name is Mike, by the way)

We had a severe bacterial infection and unfortunately lost all but two of the large lions, who will soon be returned to the 300 gal. tank, along with the eels and other larger ambush predators.
You can't end attachments through the PM system...is your e-mail addy listed in your profile?
