vinegar safe to use in tank?

I wanted to clean all my pre-filters (they stink real bad) and scrub the scum that's beginning to form in my sump.

I don't think using just hot water would cut it, and was wondering if vinegar would be safe to use to try to get rid of the smell.

Thanks,
Michelle

Vinegar is the recommended solvent for cleaning your equipment. But I believe it is also to thoroughly rinse with fresh water before use. HTH.

Yup... safe for the tank. Many folks add small amounts of vinegar to their kalk mix to increase the calcium delivered to the tank (or increase something...).

why fly..when you can

i would suggest the longboard/outboard combo...cheaper than a flight.

You should have some tropical depression current any day now...still waiting for a (nice) hurricane up here!
