Anyone need to order inverts...split shipping

I need to purchase some nassarius snails. the snails are cheap, but it bothers me to pay double the order cost just for shipping. If anyone is interested in combining an order let me know.

I don't believe anyone sells these locally, correct?

I would split and order. Someone in the selling forum is selling 100 for $30, shipping included. I live in Wood Ridge by Hackensack, what about you? If you are going to order online, maybe I'll order some coral, too. I'm looking for some LPS or softies.

Checked with AF. Who was it that spit out that absurd $2.99 price. Try 3.99 each and no breaks on lot pricing. I was going to insert this but I feel this is more appropriate .

Jnt, thanks for checking if cost is reasonable I can always pick em up after meeting.

Boogerha, I'm only 10 min away in Lodi. Lets see if Jnt comes up with anything from her LFS otherwise we'll set something up.

When I started my tank, I ordered 100 from reeftopia.com for $50. The have a decent assortment of other inverts too, as well as A few nicely priced fish.

If you guys are ordering from Etropicals or Live Aquaria let me know. Those places seem to have the animals that I'm looking for right now.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mc, I was hoping to acquire them sooner than that. These guys are great detrius eaters and bed stirrers and my trates have been on the rise lately and I need to recharge critters in bed asap. However, I only need about 2 dozen, so if I do end up purchasing a larger than necessary package you're welcome to some.

Lago, is "The Reefs"- TRI that I see mentioned here and where are they located.

John, sorry. I must be getting names confused. Let me make it up to you. How about after work we go out, tip back a couple of cold ones, get in some barroom brawls, and then finish the night with a hearty serving of red meat. That should eliminate any doubt as to who are the alpha males around these parts!!... Oh, wait. I'll have to give you a rain check on that. It's friday, I have to stay home and help wash the wifes hair tonight

Jason, thanks I'll check out reeftopia.

Mike, etrops has em for $1.20 ea. not the greatset price on the net, but free shipping over $60 so if your in need of a small order then our two should total over $60.

I'm ready to order whenever you guys are. I just bought 6 Cerith snails for $20 at New World in NY so I need quite a few more. Prices in the NY/NJ area suck for Reef Keepers.

Another place to try is Justphish. . He is a NY fireman who sells SW supplies on the side. I've always been happy with his service in the past.

6 Ceriths for $20?? DAMN!!!!!

I started with 50 nassarius & 50 astreas when I finished cyling my tank last year. As soon as most of the algea was gone, I traded a lot away. at Reeftopia(Sorry to sound like an advertisement) the astreas were $29 for 100, & the nassarius were $50 for 100. I'm sure you could find some people near you that would take some off your hands. Also, have someone else call around to your lFS saying that they have extra snails & what would they pay. Hey, you never know.

Really depends what other inverts you may have, how much you feed etc. For nass. snails I think they recommend as much as 1 per gal. Being they are ditrius eaters there is always a constant supply of food for them. When I first set up my 55 i put in something like 40 if I remember correctly. No food went uneaten and my nitrates were always near 0.

I'd need about 25 nass. if we're going in on an order.
