Replacing Bio Balls with LR
My only question is, without a light source, will the LR be useful as a replacement to the bio balls? With the stock hook on the BC, there's no way to attach any lighting to that compartment.
I just want to make sure my live rock doesn't become dead rock! Thanks guys!

It will do fine with out light, the light is just to grow macro algae.

Thanks Cope, I guess I should've been a bit more specific in my questiion. I knew the light needed to be present for the macro algae to grow.
I guess I'm wondering if the LR will be OK without the presence of macro algae with it because of the lack of light. Thanks again
