alantic anenome

i have an atlantic anenome and hes getting real dirty. is this normal? he seems to be doing great.

By dirty do you mean it turned from white to a tan/brown color? If so, that would be good thing, ie. its recovering from being bleached.

ya tentacles were white and are turning tan/brown. bleached? can you explain? thanks alot

Bleached = expelled symbiotic algae due to stress in handling, capture, transport etc. etc.
If it is coloring up again you are doing well by it. Keep up what you are doing and make sure to feed it once or twice a week.

Yes you are doing something right. Many anem's once bleached have a tough time ever recovering. Feeding it silversides, mysis, krill, etc once or twice a week will help. If you really want to keep it happy, try soaking some of that food in selcon, or better yet "coral food." They have vitamin supplements that my anemone has seemed to really respond to.

My roommate uses some stuff called h20 life. I don't know much about it, but it seems to do the trick.
