Snowed in Surprise twice so far, just never hit the ground. The only way to see it was to watch the light hit it, otherwise it was impossible to see.

yeah snow bowl was a different story, by the time the lift got you to the top of the mountain your were like a snowmn, burried in snow only problem was they closed the upper bowl due to visability issues. haha but the fresh powder was nice

I got snow a few inches over my knee at my house--digout hell! Roads are all cleared now, though not sure about snowbowl road. But definitely great conditions up the mountain--here's from the snowbowl website:

Snow Conditions
Snow in last 24 hours 6-7"
Storm total 31-49"
Settled snow depth at 9,500 feet 45"
Settled snow depth at 10,800 feet 75"

I couldn't ski after trying for years, but I could do the black diamonds my second time out on snowboards. Actually, the steeper the hill, the easier it is on snowboards. I am not good, I can just make it down the mountain fairly quickly without getting hurt.

In order to get good at snowboarding, you have to get up and practice on the hills. The bunny slope makes it harder. Seems counterintuitive, but....
