clarkii breeding behavior?
does anyone have any info as far as what behaviors a male and female clark's clown will exhibit when they are preparing to breed?
i saw some crazy behaviors coming from my boy and girl tonight during the sundown light cycle. she's full grown, and the new boy is still very small, as he was only added to the tank about a month ago. here's a cute pic the day after i added him. he has darkened quite a bit since i added him. i know you may be thinking i'm nuts to add a baby to a fully grown, aggressive and territorial female. long story short, i did my homework and took my sweet time. she let him into the anemone on the first night, and there have been no signs of aggression since. anyway, tonight the boy would start vibrating very rapidly along side her. then he would almost start rubbing his mouth over her operculum and along her side. then she would almost lay on her side and vibrate back. towards the end of their dance, she would open her mouth and, for a lack of better word- spaz out. she also would take off once every few minutes and swim behind some rockwork. and i may be seeing things, but it looks like she is developing a bit of a hump on top of her head, directly anterior to the start of the dorsal fin. what's the prognosis?
