I've seen that too. Basically, the tall part has to be sealed so no air can get in. Or something like that. I doubt it would be too difficult to make.

actually if you look closely there is an airstone in the tall portion so if it was sealed perfectly it wouldn't work. After thinking about it for a while I think there is actually a pump at the top pulling any air out.

We just got done making a small model tank, it actualy works.
