the starfish prob. won't be a prob. do they have diff. size arms and do they have diff. number of arms? they could be asterina (sp.) stars. but a Harlequin Shrimp would eat them if you wanted to add one.

as for the anemone, it is hard to tell from the pic. but does look to be a aptasia aka bad anemone

its kinda hard to tell from the pic. does it look like this?
Photobucket

if so, its bad. i haven't tried it yet. but they say if you make a paste out of kalkwasser and a little water, then shoot it with a hypodermic needle in the stalk that it will blow up and go away.

do you mind if i ask where you bought your rock from? i'm in the process of setting up a big tank and will need lots. thanks!

When I first added my live rock I had an aptasia show up. 1 quickly turned to 5 or 6. I bought a peppermint shirmp and they were all gone 2 days later.

Do some research though. There is a shirmp out there (I forget what it's called) that looks almost exactly like the pep, however this shrimp won't touch aptasia. Good luck!

The shrimp you are probably thinking of is a camelback shrimp.
