FWIW i paid $50 last year for a same sized piece

trades/deals for:

20g stand,
15g tank,
koralia #1's
mj1200
maybe live rock, im looking for kind of specific shapes

depends...

im looking for anywhere from like 10-15 lbs, but certain shape almost.

a longer flat-ish one, maybe 15" long and 2-3" thick?

then 2 support ones to go under it. what im envisioning in my head is basically this:

anything will do for the 2 support pieces, im looking for like 5-7" tall, with a decent base to stand on starboard

its the long one on top which will be difficult, doesnt have to be perfect, just something similar to that.

and i just made 4 frags each about 12"x1/2", nothing smaller, some are a tiny bit bigger though

don't worry. we're entitled to our opinions even though yours may be wrong lol

i checked, i think i may have a perfect piece for one of the bases. i think your best bet would be to go to Magic Pet, they have alot of Base Rock that would be fine. I have a friend on another site who has the PERFECT piece for the shelf, i'll see if i can talk him out of it.

i think the BEST thing to do after seeing alot of these threads it to use eggcrate littered with rubble and the foam stuff.

is that all you're going to have? just those 3 main rocks?

yup, 3 rocks, all held in place with holes an acrylic rods. the plan is like christians tank. in a year and a half it will be going back and forth to college, so this will make it very easy.

i dont want eggcrate, because i want to do starboard with sand epoxied on, for a nice look and more flow ability.

if i cant get the rock here, it would be cheaper for me to just get it at work.
