Installing DE Bulb

I just bought a new XM 250 20K DE bulb from hellolights. I was just able to pull the old bulb straight out, but for the life of me can not get the new bulb seated properly in the fixture. The bulbs look alike. I am fearful of putting too much pressure for fear of breaking ths bulb. Any special trick to install this new bulb? No problem with the screw in bulb on display tank but the de frag tank bulb is the problem. TIA

Don't know if you got it in there yet. The contacts on each end are like little spring clips. When I put mine in, I do it similar to like a "AA" battery, push one side in far enough to work in the other side. HTH.

if you are just pressing on the ceramic ends you won't break it. they can be a pain to get seated though.

Thanks guys. Just after I posted this, I did like Ryan suggested and inserted each separately and it slipped right in.

I had one end that buckled under mild pressure when I was installing a new one. Had to replace it, so I'm extra careful now (disconnect from the source and use a small screw driver to spread the spring a little).
