I'm a pagan

Not really, but I really do look forward to "sunrise" in my tank every day and am a bit sad when the "night" falls in the evening.

Anyone else this way, or am I insane?

I know what you mean.
I have moonlights for Dusk and Dawn lighting. I really like the low light and I think the tank does too.

I also have 2 sets of 2x65w Actinics staggered to come on/shut off half an hour apart.
Then the VHOs come on several hours later and stay on for about 8 hours.

We like to watch Sunrise Earth on Discovery HD and the Tank in the mornings. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable way to start the day.

Morning feeding is one of my favorite rituals, if that makes me a pagan, then long live Poseidon!

Sounds more like SADD than paganism. Unless you find yourself dancing or in some sort of sacrificial mode when you see your tank.

No need for that. Witness to someone who hasn't seen. I'm a Christian, but I really do love when the lights come on. It excites me, as does the color shift.

I feel like some kind of bizarre sun worshiper or somethings.

You should watch the real thing in person some time. Sun Rise and Sun Set are very sweet under the water as well.
I stayed up until 6:00 am this morning watching my tank go through it's night cycle. It was pretty cool, I figure it's as close to night diving as I'll up here.

Walmart, they tended to worship nature, fire, and the sun, among other things, hence the thread.

Ok I get it now. I love to watch my first halide come on. The clowns are ready to get up and swimming by their hole.

My halide goes on at 12 then second at 1230

Then 1st goes off at 8 then the second at 845
Then t5s off at 1215

PLaying with my one-year old on the floor tonight when the lights went out.

She looked at me and said, "Ut Oh!"

I guess she is a chip of the block, eh?
