HOB Protein Skimmer suggestions

I have some money to spend and would like to get a better skimmer than my seaclone, so I am looking for some suggestions.
Thanks

AquaC Remora is probably the only HOB I would use personally.

I think that the Coralife Superskimmer series actually performs better, but it puts an unbelievably huge amount of equipment in your tank. It's kind of an eyesore.

I'd seriously take a look at the new Octopus HOB's. I have the 100 with external pump (in tank) in my 55 and this thing pulls out tons of skinmate. Easy to change between wet or dry, easy to clean the cup, virtually silent and very good bubble production without modding.

I haven't used a Remora but if you check the equipment forum here there are several (including one monster one) threads on this skimmer. Lots of converted Remora users and I believe some side by side comparison.

And the best part is it's only about $100 depending on whether you want the internal or external pump. I prefer and would recommend the external unless you are seriously low on in tank real estate.

I have a Coralife SS 65 and 125.
The 65 is fantastic, the 125 doesn't pull anything out for me.

Psimitry is correct they have a big presence in the tank. Hard to hide or disguise.
