how do you set up a decent coral frag tank?

Can I have a super noob walk through of setting up the tank what is used and what lighting. I plan on retrying another go at frags, but rather than ordering a pack, just trying to get single types such as rics this order, they live through qt and have gown much happiness, then trying zoas.

If you order through a good supplier, will they give you the specs for their tanks, so that you can try to match qt to their water?
