Try Wal-Mart. I have used them with no problems. They are in the sporting goods section.

taping them to the lid works.not letting them come in contact with the bag is my preference and also they do not work if wet the 24 hr ones are the ones i use

Sure. No I wrap them in a sheet of news paper and then tape them to the lid of the box that I'm shipping. Don't put them close to any livestock it will cook them. They get pretty hot. HTH

Here is a ebay link for 40 hour heat packs.
Many people ship stuff with 20 -24 hour heat packs and the package sometimes gets delayed. In cold weather, this can mean the death of most corals unless you use a longer rated heat pack. You can get Uniheat packs in 40-48 and 72 hour heat packs. Also remember, the heat pack is activated with oxygen.
