Snapped some pictures of my peacock mantis today

I figured I'd try to get some better pictures of him while feeding him a hermit crab. I feel proud, I think some of these pictures came out very nice.

Here is a picture of one of my new frags. I believe it is called a blastamussa <sp?> It's still opening up.

Here is my hammer coral, it's doing nicely.

Great Pics!

Those Peacocks are beautiful IMO You don't hand feed it do you? I saw someone online hand feeding a mantis the other day and it made me sick...although the mantis didn't seemed bother with him hand feeding, I think its still crazy...and I know pops hurt as I got hit with a rather large 8" mantis in some rock that had been curing. Talk about wowzers

Haha, nah man I don't hand feed it. Although I think I would be safe hand feeding him because it really seems like he knows who I am. I know that probably sounds dumb but man do these things have a neat personality.

Yeah they do have neat personalities, they are very smart little buggers. I've seen a few in a friends reef tank setup...he never once had any fish missing...but best believe there were no crabs or snails in that tank

Yeah stick feeding is one thing, but putting your hand into the realm of unknown isn't a good idea.

I kept Piranha at one time and it always made me itchy putting my hands in the tank, especially with 13 Nattereri swimming around

Some of those are excellent. I say worthy of putting them on the photography forum. Give it a shot and see what feed back you get.
