cleaning a sump

Hello--I put in a 40 gal sump a month or so ago. I notice the glass is getting dirty. I see pictures of sumps on RC and some are clean and some are real dirty. Does it matter or is it just your own preference.---Jerry

Do you routinely show off your sump? If so I would clean it...otherwise I would let it just do its thing.

Own preference. All I do clean is a front glass in the fuge just because I do like to see what is goin' on inside and thrue a side I have a better view inside.
