plants on live rock

i currently have 8 lbs of live rock on saturday im going to be getting alot more. my question is that i have a bunch of plants growing on the rock and im not sure if i want to keep it or pull it out. any one have this and reccomendations? thanks

I would post a pic to have the plant identified. could be any kind of plant or algae. I have some sargussum plants growing out of some of my rocks, and I just let them grow and trimi them as I need, but of course, you need to know what you have to make a decision

Plants, algae or things that look like plants? LR has tons of stuff that grows on it. They may be tube worms, sponges or coral. Although they look like plants they are animals. Take a look at Marc's Hitchhikers Site for an ID on those "plants".

i know i have the hair algea and feather caulerpa but i have a few more types
