How do you keep your PH up
I just added a Cal reactor to my system. I've had a steady decline in my tanks PH and i'm wondering what the best method to keep it up is. I've heard Kalk reactor and i've heard slowly drip kalk or pickleing lime in.

Providing a steady supply of fresh(outside) air can make a big differance.

Where do you have your effluent from the reactor dripping? I put mine into the outlet of my skimmer to help blow off some of the CO2. Do you have the solenoid of your CO2 run by a Ph controller? If not, that will help also.

-you can either pump air in from outside the house
-drip kalk which would help raise ph and take some load off the ca reactor and you wont have to run it as hard -you can add a second chamber to your reactor to help reduce co2 going back into tank - or you can have a drip plate which the ca reactor effluent falls onto that is airated (havent tried this last method but i hear it helps) |
