XTI Raw?

I'm having trouble finding how to switch the settings to shoot pics in raw format on my xti. The users guide shows R at the bottom of the list of S M L R, but on my display the only thing it shows is S M L. What am i doing wrong? Help lol

Your quite welcome, if your still in "auto mode " picture taking try using "P" mode its auto mode but gives you leeway to make changes if you so wish , and that will lead you to using AV and TV and doing more creative things. It will be a learning process for you ,great way to learn your camera and photography
