overflow pipe question

i made a stockman pipe for my over flow (only deviation) is i used a solid pipe instead of 2 pieces slid together. my isssue is it's slurping and not consistent i have a hole drilled in the top with the plastic tube? too tall too short?any help ? thx randy

Only possible issues is the siphon break is not large enough (drill another hole in the cap) or the opening in the main pipe is not large enough (enlarge the hole) from the description I would drill another 3/8" hole in the cap first and see what that does.

Try using a clear vinyl tubing that is only 2-3 inches long total. Put less than 1/2" inside the standpipe (well above the water flowing into the standpipe) and the other 1.5" to 2.5" poking up out of the cap. I think your air hose is submerged & therefore being negated. Try that and let us know. ;-)

ok so i made a gurgle meister and an old sytle stockman and my new style all with no luck , i have varied the height of the pie ,drilled small holes, big holes this is driving me crazy as this can't be that difficult any one willing to help i'm in no. phx 51 and 101 fwhy i have a case of beer with your name on it or you name the price
