Deoending on how it was taken care of, how the silicon looks and feels( it it is hard you run more of a risk of a leak.)

Tanks can last for years and years, well over 15 years if taken care of.

I personally know someone with a 20 year old 200 gallon oceanic with original seams. I think Paul B's tank is 30 yrs with no problems.

I've seen 30yo tanks looking just fine. Most do not keep a tank that long.

I ran an acrylic unibody tank/sump 100g display for about 10 years before I sold it on. It was developing a little bow in its sump and had a crack in a tanktop brace, but it was still going strong.

I think it might depend, too on when the tank was made, how modern the adhesive, whether it ever overheated, how it was moved [torque], etc. A thick-glass tank is probably going to last longer as long as its floor is level, etc. Treat it well and it will last perhaps a bit longer.
