Cut off WON Controller

After 2 years my WON Pro-Heat II lived up to its reputation and failed. Has anyone had any success simply cutting the heater off the controller, installing a 110 plug, and controlling it with their Aqua Controller?

Thanks

Sure I have done that.
Two years out of a Won--you were very lucky. I had the first one fail in 2 months and the free replacement only lasted about 6 months. R

If the problem is that the digital temperature displays an outrageous number then you can simply replace the probe. I did it with mine works fine now. I used a cheap 15$ digital thermometers temp probe.

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!

I've had them fail as well liked how they look so I bought another one, going on over a year on one and 3 years on the other and still working
