Question Red Slim/Algae on glass

My tank has been running for a few months. I don't have any other algae growning other than this "red slim..film like" that is growing on my glass.

Can you guys let me know what this is and what is the cause of this?

Thanks!

Without a pic, I'm guessing it's cyano bacteria. The cause is usually high nitrates and high phosphates. I'm having the same problem right now. Although, my red slime went away and now I have moved onto the "brown" cyano stage! LOL!
